On 7 September we had been invited to the Medieval Food Festival in Smederevo. As we didn’t fully comprehend the magnitude of the event we had some discussions on what we could present as Norwegian medieval dishes we ended up with salted herring, lamb in cabbage and a deer stew. We didn’t do too bad and came on 2. place in the group “Starters and Appetizers” with our pickled herring.
Will we participate next year? Maybe – if the festival will take place on Saturday instead of Friday, and that we organise ourselves a little better. At least we now know what this is all about!
