Norwegian Royal Award to
Mr. Dragan Markovic

On 11 November 2011, Mr. Dragan Markovic, Belgrade, Serbia was conferred Knight of 1^st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit for his tireless work and promotion of Norwegian – Serbian relations, cooperation and friendship through more than 30 years.

We all congratulate you – it is well deserved.

11. novembra 2011. godine gospodinu Draganu Markoviću (Beograd, Srbija) je dodeljeno odlikovanje Viteza prve klase Kraljevskog norveškog reda zasluga za njegov neumoran rad i promociju norveško-sprskih odnosa, saradnju i prijateljstvo tokom više od 30 godina.

The Order of Merit

The Royal Norwegian Order of Merit was founded by King Olav V in 1985. It is conferred on foreign and Norwegian nationals as a reward for their outstanding service in the interest of Norway.

His Majesty The King is the Grand Master of the Order. The Order of Merit is divided into three classes and two sub-classes:

●  Grand Cross
            ●  Commander w/star
                 ●  Commander
            ●  Knight of 1^st Class
                 ●  Knight

Red zasluga    

Kraljevski norveški red zasluga je osnovao kralj Olaf  V 1985. godine. Odlikovanje se dodeljuje stranim i norveškim građanima kao nagrada za izvanredne usluge u interesu Norveške.        

Njegovo veličanstvo kralj je veliki majstor Reda zasluga. Red je podeljen u tri klase i dve potklase:                                                                                 

●  Veliki krst
            ●  Komandant sa zvezdom
                 ●  Komandant
            ●  Vitez prve klase
                 ●  Vitez

Design

The Insignia of the Order is the Cross of St. Olav, wrought in gold or silver, with a plain crown in each of the four corners formed by the arms of the cross, inlaid with a rounded, red cross in the centre with King Olav V’s monogram surmounted by a crown.

The order’s ribbon is made of navy blue silk.

The Knight’s Cross is worn on the left breast.

The Insignia of the Order is the property of the person to whom it has been conferred, but previously conferred insignia is to be returned to the Council of the Order if the recipient is promoted to a higher class or sub-class.

Dizajn 

Insignija Reda zasluga je Krst svetog  Olafa koji je od kovanog zlata ili srebra, sa jednostavnom krunom u svakom od četiri ugla koje formiraju krakovi krsta i umtenutim zaobljenim crvenim krstom u centru sa monogramom kralja Olafa V na vrhu krune.

Traka na ordenu se pravi od teget plave svile

Viteški krst se nosi na levoj strani grudi.

Insignija Reda zasluga je vlasništvo osobe kojoj je dodeljena, ali se prethodno dobijena insignija vraća Savetu Reda zasluga ukoliko je dodeljeno odlikovanje više klase ili potklase.
